Every year around the world we create more than 300 million tonnes of plastic – and half of this is single-use use. One of the worst offenders are plastic bottles, with a million of them sold every minute around the world–a figure that’s expected to grow by 20% by 2021.

Why the laundry pods get smaller
When the pods was introduced to market in US under Tide brand organically it’s 25g, after about 10 years time we start notice that the pods are getting smaller! Now the most popular size are around 13-15g and some extremely small pods weight only 5-8g. Why this happens ?

The new trend in the detergent market is claims of being plant-based ingredient. Most traditional liquid detergents in the market are formulated using 10 or more ingredients. Each ingredient on itself or in combination will serve a certain purpose in the performance and functionality of the detergent.

Currently the rotary drum pod machines are the most popular and most efficient machines in the industry for mass production of pods. The main advantage of these machines compared to other ones in the market is their speed and efficiency as they do not waste PVA film in the process, but their main disadvantage is the lack of flexibility. 

The chemistry of soap manufacturing stayed essentially the same until 1916, when the first synthetic detergent was developed in Germany in response to a World War I-related shortage of fats for making soap. Known today simply as detergents, synthetic detergents are non-soap washing and cleaning products that are "synthesized" or put together chemically from a variety of raw materials. The discovery of detergents was also driven by the need for a cleaning agent that, unlike soap, would not combine with the mineral salts in water to form an insoluble substance known as soap curd.

Honestly speaking the capsule is the best laundry form we now have on market and will be the next most widely used detergent type. But before that the safety problem should be solved.

Laundry detergent pods (or packs) are products containing an ultra-concentrated amount of laundry detergent, softener and other soap types enclosed in dissolvable plastic discs. Notable brands of these packs include Arm & Hammer, Purex, Persiland Tide.[1] They first became popular in February 2012 when they were introduced by Procter & Gamble as Tide Pods.[1]

"As we all know that in laundry powder formula there are more than 50% to 70% are sodium sulfate, in laundry liquid formula there are about 70%-80% are useless water. Laundry liquid capsule formula get avoid of the disadvantage of normal type detergents from the beginning.

"When considering a detergent, its quality should be valued by its active matter in the formula. But this cannot be seen by end users. They judge the quality for its outlook, like color, viscosity, perfume strong or not. But these are misunderstanding of the products quality. As manufactures knows people usually think like this, they add some agent in the formula to achieve the result which end users wished. But the quality has not improved any bit.
